Our Parts Department has an opportunity for an experienced Automotive Parts Advisor to join our team.

The Ed Voyles CDJR Parts Department has continued to grow year over year and there are no signs of us slowing down.

Duties:

  • Assists customers in selecting and purchasing parts from start to finish.
  • Answers phone calls promptly, providing price quotes and part information to customers.
  • Communicates with customers and coworkers in a professional manner.
  • Reads and understands the parts catalog when looking up and discussing specific parts.
  • Provides a high level of customer service to both internal and external customers.
  • Review Special Orders to keep customers informed of parts status.
  • Assists in the pulling and staging of parts to be delivered to our retail/wholesale customers.
  • Uses all means available to find special order parts to meet customer demand.
  • Participates and completes all required training and certifications.
  • Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area.
  • Complies with Company policies and procedures.
  • Observes all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Parts Trader, OEConnect and CCC Experience a plus

Computer Skills:

Intermediate ability and knowledge of the Parts portion of the Dealership Management System and other computer applications to support department operations.

Communication Skills:

Ability to understand and follow instructions. Ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel.

 Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; and sit. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Environment Demands:

Duties are performed primarily at the parts counter and in the parts department. Work includes retrieving parts for customer purchase and moving throughout the parts, service, and body repair departments. Employee continuously interacts with customers and parts and service department employees.

Verbal and Writing Ability:

Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees.

Math Ability:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations. Have working knowledge of automotive parts.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday 8:00am - 6:00pm
  • Weekend availability - typically every 3rd Saturday 8am - 3pm

Experience:

  • Automotive Dealership: 1 years (Preferred)
  • Automotive Parts: 2 years (Preferred)
